On National Police Week, Congresswoman Elise Stefanik expressed her support for law enforcement officers and criticized the "Far Left" for what she perceives as a dangerous movement to defund the police. In her statement, Stefanik paid tribute to those who have lost their lives in the line of duty and praised those who continue to serve and protect communities.

“On National Police Week, we pay tribute to our law enforcement officers who gave their lives in the line of duty and honor those that continue to serve and protect our communities," said Stefanik. She added that she is working tirelessly to protect law enforcement officers while criticizing the Far Left for "prioritizing criminals over law enforcement and law-abiding citizens."

Stefanik also voiced her support for a resolution recognizing National Police Week and memorializing law enforcement officers who have been killed in the line of duty. She said, "Once again, House Republicans are standing up in support of our brave law enforcement officers."

Expressing gratitude towards law enforcement officers in Upstate New York, the North Country, and across America, Stefanik stated that she will continue to bring their priorities to the highest levels of government.

National Police Week serves as an occasion for honor, remembrance, and peer support. It allows law enforcement officials, survivors, and citizens to gather together and pay homage to those who have given their lives in the line of duty.
