Washington, D.C. - Congresswoman Elise Stefanik has successfully secured $2 million in funding for a Sanitary Sewer Improvement Project in the Village of Whitehall. The funding aims to address the challenges posed by the aging sewer system in the community.

In a statement, Congresswoman Stefanik expressed her pride in securing the funding, stating, "I am proud to announce that I secured $2 million for a Sanitary Sewer Improvement Project in the Village of Whitehall in this year’s appropriations process. This funding will be used to replace large sections of a 100-year-old sewer system to stop the frequent sanitary sewer overflows that currently occur and burden the community.”

Whitehall Mayor Julie Eagan extended her gratitude to Congresswoman Stefanik on behalf of the residents and taxpayers of the Village. Mayor Eagan remarked, “On behalf of the residents and taxpayers of the Village of Whitehall, I want to express my sincere gratitude to Congresswoman Stefanik. Her advocacy on behalf of her constituents in her district, including the Village of Whitehall, is unparalleled. These funds will provide a significant boost to the Village’s ongoing efforts to bring our significantly deteriorating sanitary sewer system into compliance."

The project's funding announcement comes as a significant development for Whitehall, with Mayor Eagan emphasizing the positive impact it will have on the community's infrastructure. Residents and stakeholders are eager to witness the improvements that will result from the Sanitary Sewer Improvement Project.
