The City of Albany, in collaboration with KeyBank, is set to host Dad Fest this Sunday, June 15th, at Washington Park. The event promises a variety of activities for families and individuals to enjoy throughout the day.

Dad Fest will feature a classic car show organized by ParkAlbany, alongside live music performances on the Main Parade Grounds. Bands scheduled to perform include Psycho Circus NYC (a Kiss tribute), Slippery When Wet NJ (a Bon Jovi tribute), and The Wheel (a Grateful Dead tribute). The event also offers food and craft vendors, free swings provided by The Mobile Golf Club, rock climbing activities, and bounce houses for children from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. Q105.7/103.5 serves as the media sponsor for the show.

Now in its eleventh year, Dad Fest celebrates fathers and father figures within the community. However, it extends an invitation to everyone seeking a leisurely summer afternoon surrounded by music and entertainment at one of Albany’s picturesque parks.

The event schedule includes performances by The Wheel from 12:30 pm to 2:00 pm. Nippertown describes their act as “big” with “danceable groove,” showcasing their ability to deliver complex musical arrangements reminiscent of Grateful Dead’s style.

From 2:30 pm to 4:00 pm, Slippery When Wet NJ will take the stage. This band brings a genuine Bon Jovi experience through their seasoned musicianship and energetic performance that has been perfected over 24 years.

Closing out the festival from 4:30 pm to 6:00 pm is Psycho Circus NYC with their authentic recreation of Kiss’s signature sound and electrifying performance style.

In addition to musical acts, ParkAlbany presents the eighth annual Dad Fest Classic Car Show from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm in partnership with Capital Car Shows. A portion of registration proceeds will benefit the Henry Johnson Vet House of Albany.

Event sponsors include KeyBank, ParkAlbany, Toyota among others while media partners comprise Q105.7/103.5 along with several local outlets like Albany.com and Discovery Albany.
