On Friday, April 11, former Maple Hill High School standout Gavin Van Kempen’s current college team, the West Virginia Mountaineers, won 9-2 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Houston Cougars.

The game took place at Schroeder Park. This was their first matchup against the Cougars this season.

The Mountaineers’ next game is scheduled for Saturday, April 12 at 6:30 p.m. at Schroeder Park against Houston Cougars.
