House Republican Leadership Chairwoman Elise Stefanik appeared on Fox News with Sean Hannity to discuss the rise of antisemitism on college campuses and the One Big Beautiful Bill. The bill aims to secure the border, cut taxes, and promote school choice.
Chairwoman Stefanik emphasized the importance of passing this legislation, stating, “Well, thank you, Sean, and it was a one-vote margin. I’m proud, and we need to pass this One Big, Beautiful Bill to secure the border, cut taxes, no tax on tips, no tax on overtime, and school choice.”
Regarding antisemitism on college campuses, Stefanik highlighted actions taken under President Trump’s administration. She noted that “President Trump is holding these universities accountable” by withdrawing federal funds from institutions not addressing antisemitism and demanding ideological diversity.
Stefanik also mentioned recent events at Columbia University involving individuals affiliated with Hamas. She stressed the importance of vetting foreign students and revoking visas for those who are anti-American or antisemitic.
She further discussed changes in higher education institutions over recent decades. According to Stefanik, these include a shift towards radical progressive ideologies among professors and an increase in catering to international students over American norms. She criticized what she described as “wokeism” in curricula and emphasized investment in workforce development as a solution.
Stefanik concluded by highlighting her support for vocational training and community college institutions as essential for creating good-paying jobs needed across American communities.
