City of Troy, NY issued the following announcement on June 23.
On Monday, June 22nd, Mayor Patrick Madden visited Franklin Plaza in downtown Troy to make his quarterly blood donation with the American Red Cross. The visit continues the mayor’s ongoing efforts to promote blood and platelet donations from healthy individuals to help patients of all ages.
The American Red Cross continues to encourage those able to donate to schedule an appointment to help patients in need of lifesaving blood. Each donation can help save three lives.
The public can schedule a blood donation by visiting www.redcrossblood.org
On Tuesday, the Mayor released a video encouraging Troy residents to make a blood donation this summer. Watch the full video below:
