City of Troy, NY issued the following announcement on July 30.
Maintenance work on water line scheduled to begin Friday morning until noon
Maintenance work will resume Monday, August 3, through Friday, August 7th, from 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Eastside Neighborhood residents may experience discolored water, disruption of water service, and reduced pressure while maintenance operations are underway
TROY, NY – City Department of Public Utilities officials today announced scheduled maintenance on a water line adjacent to Brunswick Road. Work will require the temporary shutdown of the water line beginning 8:00 a.m., Friday, July 31st. Friday’s maintenance work is expected to be completed by noon.
Maintenance work will resume Monday, August 3rd, and will continue through Friday, August 7th, from 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. daily.
Troy residents south of Brunswick Road and east of Pawling Avenue may experience discolored water, varying water pressures, and intermittent service disruptions while maintenance work is underway. Water pressure is expected to return to normal after maintenance work is complete. After water service is restored, customers who experience discolored water should run their cold water faucet for five to 10 minutes until water runs clear.
Residents that observe longer than expected water outages are encouraged to contact the City Department of Public Utilities’ 24-hour number at (518) 237-0241.
Brunswick Road will remain open to regular vehicle traffic, and there is no traffic advisory issued at this time. The Department of Public Utilities thanks the public in advance for their patience & cooperation while work is underway.
