City of Troy, NY issued the following announcement on Oct. 2.
City officials have issued a traffic advisory for Oakwood Avenue for scheduled water utility maintenance work. Oakwood Avenue between Park Boulevard and Frear Park Road will be closed Saturday, October 3rd, from 7:00 a.m. until approximately 3:00 p.m.
Vehicles traveling north on Oakwood Avenue will be detoured to Park Boulevard to 15th Street to Frear Park Road to Oakwood Avenue. Vehicles traveling south on Oakwood Avenue will be detoured to Frear Park Road to 15th Street to Park Boulevard to Oakwood.
Motorists are asked to observe all posted detours and reduce speeds near the work zone.
Local residences and businesses will remain accessible during the road closure. Local emergency services have been notified of traffic restrictions.
