CITY OF TROY, NY: In-Person Payment of Property Taxes, Water Bills at City Hall Available in January by Appointment Only

City of Troy, NY  issued the following announcement on December 30.

Payment of property taxes and water bills can be processed at City Hall by scheduling an appointment with the Treasurer’s Office

Appointments will be available at City Hall on January 8, 22, and 29

Walk-ins will be prohibited, and department access will be restricted to the Treasurer’s Office for individuals with appointments on designated payment dates

Masks will be required for all appointments, and cleaning protocols will be in place following each transaction

TROY, NY – City officials have announced the Treasurer’s Office will collect payment for property taxes and water bills at City Hall by appointment only during three designated dates in January.

Appointments can be scheduled for January 8th, 22nd, and 29th between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Each appointment will be approximately 30 minutes, and will be limited to one adult per transaction; accommodations will be available for those who need assistance of additional person. Masks will be required at all times during the appointment. Walk-ins will not be permitted. Cleaning protocols will be in place between appointments.

Property owners can schedule an appointment by sending an email to taxcollection@troyny.gov

Property owners planning to pay by check are strongly encouraged to complete their transaction via mail or online at www.troyny.gov/pay.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, City Hall remains closed to the public. The only business that can be conducted during designated payment dates is with the Treasurer’s Office; no other City departments will be accessible.

Walk-ins will be accepted at the Frear Park Ice Rink on February 1, 2021.
