Albany Detectives Recover Narcotics, Handgun During Park Avenue Search Warrant
Albany detectives recovered cocaine and an illegally possessed handgun during a search warrant Tuesday morning on Park Avenue.
On Tuesday, December 13, 2022 around 10:00 a.m., detectives from the Albany Police Department’s Community Response Unit executed a search warrant at an apartment on the 600 block of Park Avenue between Ontario and Quail Streets in reference to an ongoing investigation. During the search warrant, detectives recovered a quantity of powder cocaine, crack cocaine and a loaded 9mm handgun.
Albert Jackson, 48, of Albany was taken into custody and charged with one count of Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd, one count of Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd, two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd and two counts of Criminal Use of Drug Paraphernalia 2nd.
He was arraigned Tuesday afternoon in Albany City Criminal Court and remanded to the Albany County Jail.
