East Greenbush, N.Y. – Congresswoman Elise Stefanik has successfully secured substantial funding for New York’s 21st Congressional District through the Further Consolidated Appropriations Act. Speaking on the matter, Stefanik emphasized the positive impact of the funding on various projects within the district.

Stefanik highlighted the diverse allocation of funds stating, "My advocacy secured investments for our students in rural communities, strengthened our Northern Border security and staffing, and delivered millions in defense spending..." The Congresswoman also acknowledged the need for further efforts in enhancing border security.

The spending package included significant provisions impacting upstate New York, with specific focus on defense initiatives and support for communities in the region. Notably, there were allocations for various defense-related projects such as the Air Force Research Lab in Rome and support for servicemembers, including increases in basic pay and funding for research programs.

Furthermore, Stefanik expressed her pride in securing funding for the Rural Postsecondary and Economic Development Grant program, stating, "As a senior member of the Education and the Workforce Committee, I’m proud to have secured $45 million for the Rural Postsecondary and Economic Development Grant program through this year’s appropriations process."

Rick Dalton, President and CEO of CFES Brilliant Pathways, commended Stefanik's dedication to rural education and community support, noting the positive impact of her actions on the North Country, saying, “Congresswoman Stefanik’s commitment to supporting rural education and communities is changing life trajectories throughout the North Country."
