Albany County Districts: Albany City School District welcomed most students in 2022-23 school year

Albany City School District had the highest enrollment among Albany County school districts, welcoming 8,664 students during the 2022-23 school year, according to the New York State Education Department.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 52% of them were boys, and 48% were girls.

The most represented ethnicity among Albany City School District students was Black, accounting for 43.1% of the student population.

Among the 19 districts in Albany County, North Colonie CSD ranked second in enrollment numbers with 6,077 students, while Guilderland Central School District welcomed 4,957 students and ranked third in the 2022-23 school year.
