House Republican Conference Chairwoman Elise Stefanik appeared on "Life, Liberty & Levin" on Fox News to discuss Vice President Kamala Harris and Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, whom she described as "the most radical Democrat political ticket in our nation’s history." Stefanik criticized their progressive policy records, claiming they would harm American families. She emphasized the failures of Harris' economic policies, including what she termed "trillions in wasted government spending," and advocated for a return to former President Donald Trump’s "America First" policies.
During the interview, Stefanik remarked: “Kamala Harris and Tim Walz are the most radical Democrat ticket in our nation's history. Look at their record. Look at the record of Kamala Harris. She is Joe Biden's open border czar. She owns this catastrophic failure of wide-open borders prioritizing illegals and criminals over law-abiding Americans."
Stefanik further stated that both Harris and Walz support defunding the police, referencing actions taken by Walz during his tenure as governor of Minnesota and Harris’ past efforts to raise money for bailing out criminals. Additionally, she blamed Harris for contributing to inflation through her tie-breaking vote for what she called the "Inflation Expansion Act."
Comparing economic conditions under Trump with those under Biden-Harris, Stefanik asserted: “If you look at the economic strength under President Trump, it was the strongest economy in modern history... we see unemployment ticking up under Joe Biden and Kamala Harris.” She attributed current inflation issues to excessive government spending approved during their administration.
On broader policy implications, Stefanik commented: “She [Harris] was the deciding vote for the Inflation Expansion Act... It is important that we hold our leaders accountable for their failures.”
Addressing healthcare policies, Stefanik said: “It's Kamala Harris who wants to cancel and take away your private health care insurance to put everyone on government insurance that will only increase healthcare costs.”
Stefanik concluded by discussing what she perceives as a detrimental impact on hardworking Americans due to these policies: “If you look at inflation... it hurts those in the low and middle-income classes... they're working to achieve their American dream.”
