House Republican Conference Chairwoman Elise Stefanik addressed her colleagues to discuss the legislative agenda aimed at countering threats from Communist China and holding former Governor Andrew Cuomo accountable for the deaths of New York seniors during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Stefanik criticized Vice President Kamala Harris, describing her as a "failed and weak" leader. She stated, "Democrats used their convention to overturn the will of 14 million Democrat primary voters to anoint Kamala Harris." Stefanik argued that this move was undemocratic and highlighted what she perceives as failures in Harris' policies.

During her remarks, Stefanik contrasted the current administration's policies with those of former President Trump. She claimed that constituents in her district are struggling due to "Kamalanomics," citing high inflation, a border crisis, and weak foreign policy as key issues.

Stefanik announced that House Republicans would introduce several bills aimed at addressing national security concerns related to China. Additionally, she mentioned an upcoming hearing by the House Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic, where former Governor Andrew Cuomo will be questioned about his nursing home executive order during the pandemic.

Stefanik referenced a report released by the Select Committee which claims that Cuomo and his aides were responsible for issuing a directive that led to over 15,000 deaths among vulnerable seniors. She asserted, "There is no question that Andrew Cuomo is responsible for the deaths of innocent nursing home seniors."
