Today, Congresswoman Elise Stefanik’s bipartisan Strengthening America’s Turning Point Act received a legislative hearing in the House Natural Resources Subcommittee on Federal Lands. This legislation proposes renaming the Saratoga National Historical Park to the Saratoga National Battlefield Park.
“As we approach the 250th anniversary of our country’s founding, I am proud that my legislation renaming our battlefields 'Saratoga National Battlefield Park' advanced through committee to more accurately reflect the historical significance of the site and emphasize the crucial military engagements that took place there,” said Congresswoman Elise Stefanik. “As Co-Chair of the Congressional Battlefield Caucus, it is my great honor to champion the preservation of our many battlefields and historic sites in Upstate New York, the North Country, and across the nation.”
