Washington, D.C. - House Republican Conference Chairwoman Elise Stefanik addressed her colleagues to discuss the recent assassination attempt on President Donald Trump, criticisms of Kamala Harris and Far Left Democrat policies, and efforts by House Republicans to revert to President Trump’s border policies.
Stefanik began by expressing relief over President Trump's safety following the second assassination attempt in a few weeks. She extended gratitude to law enforcement officers for their efforts in protecting Trump and questioned how such incidents could occur twice within a short period.
“We as House Republicans extend our gratitude to the hardworking law enforcement officers who are working to keep President Trump, his family, and his team safe," Stefanik stated. She also criticized certain Democrats' statements which she believes have fueled violence against Trump.
Stefanik emphasized the need for thorough investigations into both incidents—one in Florida and another in Butler, Pennsylvania—and called for changes to prevent future occurrences. She commended the Speaker for setting up a committee to investigate these events comprehensively.
She then shifted focus to the upcoming election, labeling it as "the most consequential election of our lifetime." Stefanik posed a critical question: “Are you better off today than you were under President Trump?” She argued that current policies have made the nation weaker, less safe, and less prosperous.
"Kamala Harris and Far Left Democrat policies have threatened the American way of life," Stefanik asserted. She praised Trump's tenure for having what she described as the strongest economy and most secure border in modern history while condemning current administration's handling of various issues including inflation, border security, and foreign policy crises.
Stefanik concluded by addressing a report from the Associated Press about alleged illegal election interference by Democrats in key districts. "These are blatant and unconstitutional attempts to undermine our democracy and election integrity," she said.
She introduced Congresswoman Jen Kiggans from Virginia and Congressman Zach Nunn from Iowa, highlighting their roles as representatives of districts allegedly targeted by these actions.
