Paul Tonko, a U.S. Congressman representing New York's 20th district since 2009, has been active on social media, sharing updates about his recent activities and events. Tonko, who was born in Amsterdam, New York in 1949 and holds a degree from Clarkson University, took to Twitter to share his experiences and initiatives.

On December 4, 2024, Paul Tonko shared his experience at the LEGO Group’s annual Build to Give event. He stated that he "Had a blast today stopping by @LEGO_Group’s annual #BuildtoGive event." He highlighted the initiative's charitable aspect: "For every heart made, a free Lego kit is donated to a child in need this holiday season."

Tonko announced an upcoming virtual workshop on December 5, 2024. He invited followers to join him and Hoehn Saric from the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) for a session aimed at promoting safety during the holiday season. On December 7, 2024, Paul Tonko commemorated Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day with a reflective message honoring those lost during the attack and recognizing the bravery of individuals who defended the country. His tweet read: "On Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day, we mourn the thousands of service members and civilians lost during that attack." He further emphasized remembering "the heroism and bravery of all those who stepped up to defend our country during one of its darkest moments."
