Congresswoman Elise Stefanik has issued a statement criticizing President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris for their handling of antisemitism within the United Nations. According to Stefanik, their "weak leadership and inexcusable silence" have encouraged the Palestinian Authority to attempt to remove Israel from the UN General Assembly.
Stefanik warns that if this effort by the Palestinian Authority succeeds, it could lead to a reevaluation of U.S. financial contributions to the United Nations. She emphasizes that "American taxpayers have no interest in continuing to fund an organization that Joe Biden and Kamala Harris have allowed to rot with antisemitism."
The Congresswoman urges Biden and Harris to "immediately and forcefully reject this antisemitic attempt" and insists they should identify any countries supporting what she describes as a "blatantly immoral effort." Stefanik concludes by highlighting the importance of making clear the stance of the United States, which she notes is "the UN’s single largest source of funding."
