Albany Med Health System earns 'Most Wired' recognition from CHIME

The Albany Med Health System has been recognized as one of the "Most Wired" health care organizations in the United States by the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME). This recognition is part of CHIME's Digital Health Most Wired survey, an international program that evaluates technology adoption and integration in health care facilities globally.

The 2024 survey assessed nearly 48,000 facilities across eight key areas: infrastructure, security, administrative/supply chain, analytics/data management, interoperability/population health, patient engagement, innovation, and clinical quality/safety. The Albany Med Health System was acknowledged for its effective use of technologies in both Acute Care and Ambulatory Care categories.

Kristopher Kusche, senior vice president and chief information officer of the Albany Med Health System, expressed pride in this achievement. He stated: “We are proud to once again be recognized for our information technology achievements in support of patient care.” Kusche highlighted the implementation of a new electronic medical record system across all Albany Med Health System hospitals along with advanced cybersecurity measures and data analytics. He emphasized these innovations enhance patient safety and experience.
