Albany Medical Center welcomes Dr. Ahmed Deniwar to pediatrics department

Ahmed Deniwar, MD, has joined Albany Medical Center's Department of Pediatrics as a pediatric interventional cardiologist. He has also been appointed assistant professor at Albany Medical College.

Dr. Deniwar will perform catheterization procedures for patients with congenital heart defects. While his primary focus will be on pediatric patients, he will also provide care to adults who require ongoing treatment for congenital heart conditions.

Dr. Deniwar is board certified in Pediatric Cardiology and Pediatrics. His extensive training includes a fellowship in Pediatric Interventional Cardiology at the University of California, Davis, a Pediatric Cardiology fellowship at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, and a residency through the Tulane-Ochsner Pediatric Residency Program. He obtained his medical degree from Mansoura University in Egypt and has co-authored over 20 journal articles and book chapters during his training.

He is currently seeing patients at Albany Medical Center and Capital District Pediatric Cardiology Associates located at 319 S. Manning Blvd., Albany. Appointments can be scheduled by calling 518-489-3292.
