Gynecologist Dr. Aparajita Chaudhuri has joined Albany Medical Center's Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, where she will also serve as an assistant professor at Albany Medical College. Dr. Chaudhuri is board certified in her field and offers a range of services including routine gynecologic care, pregnancy and menopausal care, and treatment for conditions such as polycystic ovary syndrome, fibroids, adenomyosis, abnormal uterine bleeding, pelvic pain, Pelvic Inflammatory Disease, and other infections. She is also equipped to treat patients who are HIV positive.
Dr. Chaudhuri holds certification in fetal monitoring from the Perinatal Quality Foundation and performs various gynecologic surgeries with a focus on minimally invasive procedures. Her previous position was at Hackensack Meridian Health’s Palisades Medical Center in New Jersey. She completed her residency at Flushing Hospital Medical Center in Queens, New York, after earning her medical degree in India from NRS Medical College and Hospital and the University of Calcutta.
Dr. Chaudhuri is multilingual, speaking English, Bengali, Hindi, and Urdu. During her residency, she received the Emanuel A. Friedman MD Resident Research Award and has delivered several oral presentations in India.
