Emmanuel A. Aydin-Ghormoz, MD, has joined the Department of Medicine’s Division of Nephrology at Albany Medical Center, which is part of the Albany Med Health System.
Dr. Aydin-Ghormoz is a general nephrologist who treats patients with various kidney diseases such as acute kidney injury, chronic kidney disease, glomerulonephritis, electrolyte disturbances, and hypertension. He has a particular interest in home dialysis modalities that can improve quality of life and outcomes for patients.
He is board certified in internal medicine and previously served as a hospitalist at Albany Medical Center before completing his fellowship in nephrology there. Dr. Aydin-Ghormoz completed his residency in internal medicine at Montefiore Medical Center in Bronx, N.Y., and earned his medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia.
