39 percent of applicants to Union College were admitted for fall 2018

At Union College, 97 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 54 percent are male, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in Schenectady enrolled 2,197 students in fall 2018, all in undergraduate programs, data shows. 0.9 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

29 percent of undergraduates are residents of New York, and 60 percent are residents of other states.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (70 percent) and Hispanic or Latino (8 percent).

The school admitted 39 percent of the 6,716 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 22 percent enrolled.
