Washington, D.C. - Congresswoman Elise Stefanik has strongly criticized Columbia University's President Shafik for giving in to the demands of the pro-Hamas sympathizers and failing to ensure the safety of Jewish students on campus. Stefanik's statement comes after Columbia's leadership extended deadlines and neglected to hold accountable those who support terrorist organizations.
In her condemnation, Stefanik stated, "Columbia has surrendered to the radical pro-Hamas antisemitic mob instead of securing campus and protecting Columbia’s Jewish students. There can be no more extensions or delays. There can be no negotiations with self-proclaimed Hamas terrorists and their sympathizers."
The Congresswoman's remarks highlight her concern over the university's actions and emphasize the importance of standing firm against antisemitism and terrorism on college campuses.
