Rep. Elise Stefanik recently received the Ronald Reagan Defender of Freedom Award and addressed the Faith and Freedom Coalition Conference. In her speech, she emphasized the significance of the upcoming election, calling it "the most important election in our lifetime."

Stefanik began by thanking Ralph Reed for his leadership and friendship, noting his contributions to the conservative movement. She highlighted various crises under President Joe Biden's administration, including what she termed as a "historic Biden Border Catastrophe," citing increased illegal crossings and fentanyl poisoning as major concerns.

She also discussed economic issues, labeling them as the "Bidenflation Crisis" and criticizing Biden's economic policies for harming families and businesses. Stefanik contrasted this with what she described as an "America First economic boom" under former President Donald Trump.

Energy independence was another focal point of her speech. Stefanik accused Biden of declaring war on American energy independence, resulting in higher utility costs and reliance on foreign energy sources. She advocated for a return to Trump's energy policies to restore jobs and economic growth.

The congresswoman also addressed crime rates, particularly in traditionally blue states like New York. She criticized Democrats for supporting bail reform and defunding the police, which she believes has led to increased crime. Additionally, she condemned what she sees as the politicization of the judicial system against Trump.

On foreign policy, Stefanik pointed to Biden's handling of international affairs, including the withdrawal from Afghanistan and responses to attacks on Israel by Hamas terrorists. She praised Trump's support for Israel through initiatives like the Abraham Accords.

Stefanik also spoke about antisemitism on college campuses following attacks on Israel. She recounted a congressional hearing where university presidents were questioned about their stance on antisemitism. Her questioning led to significant resignations at some universities.

In closing, Stefanik reiterated her commitment to unifying House Republicans and promoting their agenda across the country with an aim to reelect Donald Trump.
