The City of Albany Department of Water & Water Supply (AWD) is currently addressing a water transmission main break at Tiv. Efforts are underway to close valves and isolate the break. AWD has indicated that the incident is not expected to disrupt water service or affect water pressure for residents.

There may be a brief period of discolored water in areas where the direction of flow in the pipe changes. According to AWD, the water remains safe for use, but customers experiencing discolored water are advised to avoid doing laundry until it clears. AWD recommends running cold water until it clears and advises residents to contact the AWD Dispatch office at 518-434-5322 if discolored water persists.

The Department of Water and Water Supply is committed to resolving this issue promptly and minimizing inconvenience for residents and businesses. "AWD appreciates the community's patience and cooperation during this time," stated an AWD representative. For continuous updates on the situation, residents are encouraged to monitor AWD's official communication channels, including their social media platforms.
