House Republican Conference Chairwoman Elise Stefanik appeared on Fox Business's "Mornings With Maria" to discuss the perceived failures of Vice President Kamala Harris’s border policies and to demand accountability following a second assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump.

During the interview, Stefanik criticized the Biden administration's handling of immigration. "I agree with Governor Abbott. He has been an outspoken voice in exposing this border crisis that was caused, by the way, by Joe Biden and Kamala Harris as Joe Biden's border Czar," she stated. She highlighted data indicating an increase in illegal crossings, attributing it to the administration's policies.

Stefanik also discussed the impact of these policies on local communities. "Even in my home district, Maria, we have had skyrocketing numbers of illegals crossing the Northern Border in the Swanton Sector," she said. She cited incidents involving crimes committed by illegal migrants as evidence of deteriorating safety and security.

On ensuring only American citizens vote in elections, Stefanik expressed concern over taxpayer funds being used for housing illegal migrants and emphasized support for legislation aimed at preventing noncitizens from voting. "This is an 85% approved issue. People know that in this country, in order to have safe and secure and constitutional elections, only American citizens can vote," she remarked.

Addressing recent assassination attempts on Trump, Stefanik called for increased protection measures. "We have a committee that the Speaker has appointed to do an investigation," she said. She urged swift action from the Secret Service and indicated potential legislative measures to ensure Trump's safety.

Stefanik concluded by stressing accountability from federal agencies like the FBI and DOJ. "It takes us really using every tool we have because... they try to stonewall," she asserted.
