Albany Medical Center appoints Dr. Michael Pignanelli to Department of Urology

Michael Pignanelli, MD, has joined the Department of Urology at Albany Medical Center and has been appointed assistant professor at Albany Medical College. The institution is a part of the Albany Med Health System.

Dr. Pignanelli specializes in andrology, focusing on male reproductive health and urological issues. He provides medical and surgical treatments for various conditions such as Peyronie's disease, erectile dysfunction, male infertility, and benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). Additionally, he implants prosthetic devices and treats general urological conditions like kidney stones.

His fellowship in urology with a focus on erectile dysfunction was completed at the University of South Florida in Tampa. Originally from Canada, Dr. Pignanelli underwent residency training in urology at the University of Western Ontario, where he also earned his medical degree. He possesses further training in microsurgery.

Dr. Pignanelli is available for consultations with adult patients at Albany Medical Center’s South Clinical Campus located at 23 Hackett Blvd., Albany, as well as Glens Falls Hospital situated at 14 Hudson Ave., Glens Falls.
