Paul Tonko, a member of the U.S. Congress representing New York's 20th district, shared several updates through social media on March 18 and 19, 2025. These posts covered a range of topics including housing funding announcements and legal decisions impacting military service members.
On March 18, Tonko encouraged his followers to view a recording of an event by providing a link for those who missed it live. "If you weren’t able to join us live, you can watch a recording of the event here:"
Later that day, he expressed pride in participating alongside Governor Kathy Hochul in Albany to announce significant funding for affordable housing. "Proud today to join @GovKathyHochul in Albany to announce $270 million in state and federal funding from the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit to help construct and rehabilitate quality, affordable housing for working people here in our Capital Region and across New York State!"
On March 19, Tonko commended the judicial system for blocking former President Trump's actions against transgender service members. He emphasized respect and gratitude for all individuals who serve. “We should all agree, however, that every person who has answered the call to serve deserves our gratitude and respect.” Glad to see the courts block President Trump's hateful and unconstitutional action targeting our trans service members."
