Paul Tonko, a U.S. Congressman representing New York’s 20th district since 2009, recently shared insights into his activities and commitments through social media posts. Tonko has been an advocate for addressing local issues and promoting economic growth through legislative initiatives.

On March 20, 2025, Tonko reflected on his participation in a community engagement event: "Yesterday, I stopped by my team’s Mobile Office Hours event in Hoosick Falls to speak directly with constituents about the issues facing Capital Region families today, and about how I’m working to address those issues. So grateful to all of you for making your voices heard!"

Later that day, he expressed pride in discussing economic development efforts alongside fellow politician John Mannion: "Proud to join my friend @JohnMannionNY22 in Syracuse today to talk about how our CHIPS and Science Act is bringing major investments, good-paying jobs, and economic growth to communities across Upstate New York."

In another post on the same date, Tonko addressed potential threats from political opponents regarding the CHIPS and Science Act: "As President Trump and Republicans in Congress threaten to scrap the CHIPS and Science Act, I’m committed to preserving these critical investments, protecting domestic manufacturing jobs, and maintaining our region’s status as a global leader in the semiconductor industry."
