40 percent of applicants to Maria College of Albany were admitted for fall 2018

At Maria College of Albany, 52 percent of undergraduate students are nontraditional students - age 25 or older - and 88 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in Albany enrolled 912 students in fall 2018, all in undergraduate programs, data shows. 31.4 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

98 percent of undergraduates are residents of New York, and 2 percent are residents of other states.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (57 percent) and Black or African American (11 percent).

The school admitted 40 percent of the 294 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 43 percent enrolled.
