Modern Welding School enrolls 86 undergrads

At Modern Welding School, 54 percent of undergraduate students are nontraditional students - age 25 or older - and 98 percent are male, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The private for-profit school in Schenectady enrolled 86 students in fall 2018, all in undergraduate programs, data shows. No undergraduates were transferred from another college or university.

99 percent of undergraduates are residents of New York, and 1 percent are residents of other states.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (71 percent) and Native Hawaiian or other Pacific Islander (19 percent).
