Man Charged with Possessing Child Pornography
An Albany man who was in possession of child pornography at his home on Picotte Drive has been taken into custody.
On Friday, December 9, 2022 Albany detectives became aware that Calvin Cross, 27, of 19B Picotte Drive was in possession of child pornography, specifically multiple images and videos of young children between the ages of 7 and 12 engaging in sexual activity. Detectives from the Albany Police Department’s Children and Family Services Unit immediately began to conduct an investigation.
Yesterday, Tuesday, December 13th around 4:15 p.m., detectives executed a search warrant at Cross’ home in reference the investigation and took him into custody.
Cross has been charged with one count of Possession of Obscene Sexual Performance by a Child.
He is scheduled to appear in Albany City Criminal Court on Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at 9:00 a.m.
