DCS music students selected to participate in SCMEA All-County Music Festival

Congratulations to our DCS students who were selected to participate in this past weekend’s Schoharie County Music Educators’ Association (SCMEA) All-County Music Festival, held at Duanesburg High School! Duanesburg students joined music students from six other neighboring school districts for choral and band performances in Joe Bena Hall on Saturday, March 18. Kudos to our music teachers in the district who helped coordinate the event – Scott Hopkins, Lindsay Heck, and Mary Clare Waltz. DCS student participants included: 

  • Soprano: Sam Noviczski, Vivienne Hyde, Carissa Holliday
  • Alto: Mallorie Howe, Nellie Kosier
  • Baritone: Noah Peterson
  • Soprano: Eowyn Boggs, Cadence Weaver
  • Alto: Lauren Capron, Jade Menzies
  • Piccolo – Madeline Engel
  • Flute 1 – Wyatt Moss
  • Flute 2 – Jennifer Patino
  • Clarinet – Breeanna Moss
  • Alto Sax 2 – Morgan Malpezzi, Declan O’Connor

  • French Horn – Keegan Brooks
  • Trombone 1 – Gavin Sexton
  • Baritone – Preston Voelker

Other participating schools included:  Berne-Knox-Westerlo, Cobleskill-Richmondville, Middleburgh, Schoharie, and Sharon Springs
